From Confusion to Direction: ESGI Supports a Young Convert in Abuja

ESGI Abuja Weekly Outreach Report | 4 August 2026

At Empowered Servants Global Initiative (ESGI), we believe that impacting lives goes beyond meeting immediate needs. We are committed to helping people discover hope, direction, purpose, and practical opportunities for a better future.

During our recent engagement in Abuja, ESGI connected with a young convert who had experienced significant uncertainty about his future. At 30 years old, without a secondary school certificate and without a stable means of livelihood, he had become increasingly convinced that he needed direction to move forward.

Through conversations and continued engagement, he came to understand the importance of acquiring a practical skill that could provide a pathway toward independence and meaningful work.

A New Direction

After two weeks of serious engagement, discussions, and observation of his commitment, he agreed to begin an apprenticeship in solar energy system installation.

This decision represents an important step toward equipping him with a practical skill and creating an opportunity for him to build a more stable future.

He is originally from Niger State and currently stays with a friend in Basa Village along Airport Road, Abuja.

ESGI’s Support

To support his transition into this new season, ESGI provided ₦10,000 as financial assistance toward his immediate needs and the beginning of his apprenticeship journey.

The support was given after the period of engagement and assessment of his commitment to the agreed plan.

More Than a Donation

This story reminds us that meaningful impact is not always about the size of the financial gift. Sometimes, the greatest impact begins with a conversation, continues through encouragement and accountability, and leads someone toward a new direction.

At ESGI, we remain committed to Impacting Lives One at a Time—supporting people not only in moments of need but also as they take practical steps toward a more purposeful and productive future.

We are grateful for every empowered servant who makes this work possible through prayers, giving, service, and consistent commitment to the vision.

One life. One opportunity. One step toward a better future.
