ES 20 Abuja Reaches Out to a Woman with Compassion and Encouragement
ES 20 Abuja | Week 2 Outreach Report

“Impacting Lives One at a Time.”
Greetings, brethren.
Sometimes, making an impact begins with something as simple as noticing someone.
During this week’s outreach, Deborah of ES 20 Abuja had the opportunity to meet Madam XXXXXXXXX at the gate of her office compound, where she was selling boiled eggs.
Something about the woman drew Deborah’s attention, prompting her to approach her and begin a conversation.
Seeing Beyond the Surface
As they spoke, Deborah discovered that Madam XXXXXXXXX also works as a cleaner in one of the offices within the building where Deborah’s office is located.
She is a child of God who has experienced several difficult personal battles. During their conversation, she shared some of the challenges she had faced, including experiences in which she had come close to losing her life.
Rather than allowing these experiences to break her, they strengthened her determination to continue living for God.
Despite her financial difficulties, she remains joyful and grateful. She is a mother of two children, while her husband works as a welder to provide for the family.
Sometimes, People Simply Need to Be Noticed
One of the most touching parts of the encounter was discovering how much it meant to Madam XXXXXXXXX that someone had taken the time to notice her and listen to her story.
For her, being given the opportunity to talk about some of the burdens she had carried brought a sense of relief.
The encounter served as an important reminder that impact is not always financial.
People sometimes need someone to notice them, listen without judgment, encourage them, and demonstrate genuine love and concern.
A conversation can bring comfort. A listening ear can restore hope. A simple expression of care can remind someone that they matter.
An Unexpected Gift
As their conversation continued, Deborah shared that Jesus had placed it on her heart to give Madam XXXXXXXXX ₦10,000 as a gift from Him.
The woman was visibly surprised. She struggled to believe that she was about to receive financial support without having to sell anything or provide a service in exchange for it.
When she was asked to provide her account details so the money could be transferred, she became emotional.
Her reaction deeply touched Deborah and became another reminder of how God can use willing people to bring unexpected encouragement and relief to others.
A Willing Heart Can Make a Difference
This outreach demonstrates that we do not always have to wait for people to come to us before we can make a difference.
Sometimes, impact begins by paying attention to the people around us.
It can happen at an office gate, in a marketplace, on the street, or in an ordinary conversation. When we remain sensitive to the needs around us and willing to respond, simple moments can become opportunities to bless someone.
ESGI is grateful for the opportunity given to ES 20 Abuja to encourage Madam XXXXXXXXX and provide practical support for her family.
We also appreciate every ESGI sponsor and supporter whose generosity makes these moments possible. Through your giving, people receive not only financial assistance but also encouragement, dignity, and the assurance that they are not forgotten.
