Empowering Resilience: Supporting a Student Entrepreneur in Osogbo

This week in Osogbo, Osun State, our team member Benjamin had the opportunity to support a young woman who has been working hard to sustain herself despite growing difficulties.
A Young Woman Determined to Succeed
Sister Fxxxxx reached out and shared how challenging life had become for her in recent weeks.
Her major needs were feeding and transportation to school. As she explained her situation, it became clear that she had been making every effort to survive independently, but the pressure had become overwhelming.
To support herself, she makes and sells kuli kuli and also offers hair-making services for people in her community. These small ventures have been her primary sources of income for some time.
However, she recently had to use the little money she had available to meet urgent school-related expenses. As a result, she was left with almost nothing to cover her daily needs.
When Hardship Interrupts Progress
Because of the financial strain, she began struggling with basic feeding and could no longer afford regular transport to school.
She also explained that she had not been able to continue selling products because she currently had nothing to sell. Without capital to restock, her small business activities had come to a standstill.
It was evident that she was not unwilling to work—she simply needed help to regain momentum.
Timely Support to Restore Stability
Moved by her story, Benjamin provided the sum of ₦10,000 to assist with:
Feeding
Transportation to school
Restarting her small business activities
This support was not just financial assistance—it was an investment in resilience, dignity, and the determination of a young woman working hard to build a better future.
She expressed sincere gratitude and deeply appreciated the timely intervention.
