At ESGI, we are continually inspired by individuals who choose to give, even when they have little. This week’s outreach in Osogbo highlights the story of a young woman whose selflessness in supporting others became the very reason she was supported in return.
A Life of Sacrifice and Kindness
Fatoyimbu reached out to a young lady who has taken on a remarkable responsibility—providing shelter and support for two of her friends who are currently students.
Despite her own limited means, she opened her home to them, determined to make life a little easier for those around her.
Her daily survival depends on menial jobs. She earns income by helping with cleaning tasks and offering laundry services whenever opportunities arise. From these small and often unpredictable earnings, she not only takes care of herself but also contributes toward feeding her friends.
Her life is a true reflection of generosity in the face of scarcity.
Facing Difficult Times
Recently, however, things became more challenging.
She shared that job opportunities had significantly reduced, making it increasingly difficult to meet even basic needs. With fewer calls for cleaning and laundry work, her already limited income became strained.
Feeding herself and the two students staying with her became a growing concern.
What was once manageable through determination and sacrifice had now become overwhelming.
A Timely Intervention
Moved by her situation and her consistent act of kindness toward others, Fatoyimbu extended support through ESGI.
A sum of ₦15,000 was provided to help with food and basic needs for her and her friends.
This support came at a critical time—when uncertainty was high and resources were low.

The response was filled with deep gratitude.
She and her friends received the support with heartfelt appreciation, expressing sincere thanks for the timely intervention. The assistance not only met an immediate need but also brought relief and encouragement during a difficult period.
