At Empowered Servants Global Initiative (ESGI), we believe that every person deserves dignity, compassion, and an opportunity to rebuild their life. Through prayer, practical support, and encouragement, we seek to reach vulnerable people and remind them that they are not forgotten.

In this week’s outreach report, ES 24 Benue shares the story of a 16-year-old girl who was rescued from human trafficking and received support as she began rebuilding her life.

A Young Life Given Another Opportunity

The ESGI representative, Betty, was informed about the case of a 16-year-old girl who had been trafficked and exploited through prostitution in a location withheld for her privacy.

Following the report, prayers were offered, and efforts were made to secure the girl’s rescue. By God’s grace, she was rescued and reunited with her family.

This intervention marked an important step towards safety and recovery for a young person who had experienced severe vulnerability.

Encouragement Through Faith and Fellowship

Following her rescue, Betty encouraged the girl to receive Jesus Christ, and she responded positively. She subsequently began attending church services.

However, Betty noticed that the girl lacked suitable clothing, which was one of the practical challenges affecting her ability to attend church comfortably.

Recognising this need, Betty provided clothing worth ₦8,000 to encourage her and help her participate in fellowship with greater confidence.

The young girl was delighted to receive the clothing and attended the church service that Sunday.

Her happiness was a reminder that seemingly simple gestures can communicate care, restore dignity, and help someone feel welcomed and supported.

Compassion Beyond the Immediate Need

The story of this young girl reminds us that helping vulnerable people involves more than responding to an immediate crisis. It also means offering continued encouragement, practical assistance, and a supportive environment as they move forward.

For survivors of trafficking and exploitation, safety, family support, appropriate professional care, and protection from further harm are essential. Every survivor deserves to be treated with dignity, without judgment, and with respect for their privacy.

ESGI is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this young girl’s journey towards safety and renewed hope. We also recognise the importance of continued support to help vulnerable children and young people access the protection and care they need.

Appreciation to ESGI Pioneers and Sponsors

Betty expressed sincere appreciation to the ESGI pioneers for providing the opportunity to be a blessing to the young girl.

We are grateful to every pioneer, sponsor, and supporter whose generosity enables ESGI teams to respond to needs and demonstrate practical compassion in their communities.

Your support helps make interventions possible, bringing encouragement to vulnerable individuals and reminding them that they are not alone.
