When Compassion Meets Action: A Story of Support in Abuja

As we step into a new month, we do so with gratitude, faith, and the continuous desire to be vessels of God’s love in our communities. At Empowered Servants Global Initiative (ESGI), every act of service—no matter how small—carries the power to restore dignity, inspire hope, and change lives.

This week, in Abuja, that mission came to life once again.

A Family in Need

For some families, survival is a daily journey of faith. Sister Adepeju Ifeoluwa Adekeye, a woman I have known for some time in our local fellowship, lives this reality. She is married with children, but her home has faced ongoing hardship.

Her husband works diligently at a company where salaries are often delayed for months. Despite his effort and search for a new opportunity, a breakthrough has not yet come. These delays have made the family’s welfare unstable, especially regarding feeding and caring for their young children.

Over time, Sister Adepeju has reached out for help when the situation became unmanageable. As a community, we supported in what small ways we could. But recently, the situation became urgent: she and her children—including a baby—had not eaten.

When Love Takes the Lead

Hearing this, I was moved with compassion. The thought of a hungry child triggered an urgency in my spirit to act. Even when my personal resources were limited, the Empowered Servants Program provided the opportunity to bridge the gap.

From the program’s support purse, I extended ₦6,000 to her so she could buy food and feed her children immediately. It may seem like a small amount, but in that moment, it meant survival. It meant comfort. It meant hope.

This is what ESGI stands for—a network of believers empowered to act as the hands and feet of Jesus, meeting needs as God directs.

“A little, placed in the right hands at the right time, becomes a miracle.”

Thanking God for the Privilege to Serve

I am truly grateful for the chance to serve through this initiative. I extend heartfelt appreciation to our leaders, Mr. Lendert and Pastor Philip Idoko, for stewarding this vision and enabling everyday believers to make a tangible difference. May God multiply your strength and resources.

A Reflection of Our Calling

This story is not just a report—it is a reminder of why we exist. The Empowered Servants Program is more than a support system; it is a lifestyle of empathy, prayer, generosity, and action.

Our mission is simple:
See the need. Seek God’s guidance. Respond in love

As we continue through this month, we pray for divine provision for every struggling family, open doors for those seeking employment, and renewed strength for all who serve faithfully.
