The Empowered Servants Initiative (ESGI) continues to express God’s love through practical compassion—reaching individuals and families who are navigating difficult seasons and offering them hope, prayer, and tangible support.

On this occasion, Mayowa Moses Onanuga, an Empowered Servant with ES Team 18 in Kano, encountered a young woman whose story reflects the daily struggles faced by many single mothers.

A Young Mother Facing Life Alone

Mrs Fiona A. is a young single mother caring for her four-year-old daughter. During a heartfelt conversation, she shared the painful reality of her situation. The father of her child abandoned them and completely withdrew his support, leaving her to shoulder the responsibilities of parenting alone.

Since then, life has been extremely challenging. With no consistent source of income, Fiona has spent a long time searching for employment but has been unsuccessful. Despite her struggles, she expressed a strong desire to work and provide for her child. She shared that she would gladly start a small business if she could receive even a modest capital to begin.

Prayer, Encouragement, and Faith

Moved by compassion, Mayowa took time to pray with Fiona, encouraging her to remain hopeful and to trust God for divine provision and open doors. The prayer session served as a reminder that God sees her situation and that help often comes through people who are willing to act.

A Seed Sown in Faith

As an expression of care and support, ₦5,000 was given from the ESGI purse to Fiona to help meet her immediate needs and serve as a seed toward rebuilding her livelihood. Though small, the support was given in faith—believing God for a greater miracle in her life and a sustainable breakthrough.

Fiona received the assistance with gratitude and renewed hope, encouraged that she was not alone in her journey.
