Sometimes, small acts of care can make a significant difference in someone’s daily life. For Boluwatife Akinpelu, an Empowered Servant in Lagos, this opportunity arose when they met Christiana Steven, a salesgirl working near the local worship center.
Christiana shared that due to the high cost of transportation, she often had no choice but to sleep at her shop after work. This daily struggle not only affected her comfort but also her overall well-being.
Seeing her situation, Boluwatife was moved to act. Through the Empowered Servants Program, a token of ₦3,100 was provided to Christiana to ease her immediate burden. The gesture offered her relief and a renewed sense of care from the community around her.
This story highlights how ESGI volunteers actively seek to support hardworking individuals in their everyday challenges, ensuring that compassion and practical help reach those who need it most.
Reflection
Through small acts of kindness, the Empowered Servants Program brings hope, relief, and encouragement to vulnerable members of the community. Christiana’s story is a reminder that even modest support can positively impact someone’s life, restoring dignity and showing them they are not alone.
