Our Board Team

Janet Chukwuka -
Board Chairman

About

I am a Transformational Leader, a Strategic team player and a Start-up consultant. I am the co-founder of Empowered Servants and preside over its affairs nationwide.

Motivation

I am passionate about Social Impact, hence active involvement and vast experience in NGOs and NPOs. My enthusiasm for social impact and empowerment has placed me in the forefront of many projects where immeasurable impacts have been made, and I look forward to more.

Favourite Intervention

What stood out for me at ESP since its inception were cases of suicide reversed by our timely intervention. Such a case was a 23-year-old lady laden with debts because of early family responsibility, who is now totally free of debt and gloriously married, enjoying her life.

How ES Impacted me

ES has made a significant positive impact on my life. It has given me a wider reach, a great opportunity to work with a network of like-minded individuals, committed to making a difference. Together, we are contributing to society, directly helping individuals and families in need. Personally, I have gained valuable experience in advocacy and project management, fostering growth through meaningful engagement.

Philip Onuche Idoko -
Board Secretary

About

I am Philip Onuche Idoko, founder and president of Souls Outreach Network, a faith-based NGO. We reach out to inmates across the correctional centres (prisons) in Nigeria and ex-inmates after their jail term and campaign for sickle cell anaemia awareness.  Professionally, I am an Entrepreneur and an Eagle-Eyed Administrator, passionate about adding value to organisations, humanity, and the world. I am married to a female wife, and together, we are blessed with children.

I joined ESGI in November 2022, positively impacting lives within my sphere of influence in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria, West Africa.

Motivation

I volunteered to be an Empowered Servant because the vision and mission of ESGI resonates with my strong passion for adding value to mankind and the earth.

Favourite Intervention

I’d been engaged in multiple interventions that had impacted many lives since joining ESGI. But one among many that stood out for me is being involved in supporting a young lad’s surgery to repair his deformed leg.

How ES Impacted me:

Volunteering at ESGI has enhanced the expression of selflessness in my being towards humanity. Many times I’d reached out to persons in need of food, shelter and money, even when my family are in dire need of the same.

My Leadership Skills, has also been chiselled and sharpened, working with ESGI, first as a Team Member, and later as a Coordinator and Team Lead of divers Groups in Abuja.

About

I am a Mortgage Banking professional with over 17 years of experience in the banking sector, where I garnered a wealth of experience in Customer Service, Account Management, Mortgage Banking, Control and Compliance, as well as in Risk Management. I started my career with GT Bank as a member of the Transactions Services Group. Furthermore, I was also on the Management Team of Housing Solution Fund, where I played a strategic role in the establishment and operationalisation of the Fund.

Motivation

In addition to my corporate endeavours, I am also passionate about helping people, especially widows and orphans. This led to my involvement in ESGI. Upon joining ESGI, my philanthropic efforts gained further traction as the platform allowed me to widen my scope.

Favourite Intervention

Many interventions have been quite remarkable, but one that stands out was supporting the raising of funds for footing the surgery bill for an 8-month-old baby who was critically ill and whose parents couldn’t raise the funds, leaving the baby at risk of death. Thankfully, intervention came through the ESGI platform, and the baby is now fully recovered.

How ES Impacted me:

Being a member of the ESGI has widened and deepened my compassion and commitment to helping people.
