Gratitude and Reflection

Greetings, brethren.

We give all glory to God for His faithfulness, mercy, and preservation throughout the past week. Each opportunity to serve is a reminder that our calling goes beyond words—it is expressed through compassion, responsiveness, and tangible love.

Community Outreach Through Health Awareness

This week’s engagement began with a moment of deep reflection following the sudden passing of one of my former secondary school classmates, who reportedly slumped and died. This tragic event stirred a strong conviction within me, especially in light of my work as a wellness coach.

Guided by this burden, I reached out to my former classmates via our WhatsApp platform to share vital health education. The session focused on:

– The importance of taking personal health seriously

– Regular medical check-ups and early detection

– Practicing simple and affordable home-based health routines

– Speaking up and seeking help when overwhelmed rather than suffering in silence

The discussion was open, practical, and freely shared, with the goal of empowering individuals to take proactive responsibility for their well-being.

Identifying a Need: A Call for Immediate Support

Following the health enlightenment session, one of my classmates, Esther Omale, reached out privately. She shared concerns about her young son, who was battling both measles and malaria. Due to ongoing financial difficulties, she explained that she was unable to afford the necessary medications.

Esther further opened up about the broader challenges facing her family, explaining that her husband was doing menial jobs and struggling to meet basic household and medical needs.

Compassion in Action Through ES Support

Moved with compassion and guided by the mission of ESGI to provide timely and impactful support, I requested her bank details and confirmation information to ensure transparency and accountability.

Through the ES support fund, I disbursed ₦15,000 to assist with the purchase of medications for her son. Beyond the financial support, I reassured her that God sees her pain and that this intervention was a reminder that she is not alone.

Her response was filled with overwhelming joy, gratitude, and renewed hope.

Closing Appreciation

We remain grateful for the trust placed in us and for the opportunity to serve as vessels of compassion. Each act of support—no matter how small—reinforces our commitment to uplifting lives, strengthening communities, and reflecting God’s love in practical ways.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
