Restoration and Hope: Supporting a Family Through Trauma in Abuja

The Christmas season is a time for compassion, healing, and hope, and for Donald Omenka and his wife, it became an opportunity to extend God’s love to a family in need.

On Sunday, December 21st, the couple met a young married woman who had recently suffered a miscarriage. She was still struggling emotionally from the loss and physically with symptoms of malaria and typhoid. With her husband recently unemployed, the family could not afford medical tests or treatment.

After providing counseling for her emotional trauma and praying for restoration and healing, Donald was led to support her medical needs. He contributed ₦10,000 to cover laboratory tests and medication as a gift “from Jesus.” Over the following week, his wife followed up on her treatment and care.

On Christmas Day, the couple invited them to share a festive meal at their home. They also provided essential food supplies, including rice and garri, ensuring the family had nourishment during the holiday season.

By the end of the week, the woman was physically recovered and emotionally lighter, a testament to the power of compassion, prayer, and practical support.
