Life can take unexpected and painful turns, and sometimes all a person needs is someone to notice, care, and respond. This is what happened when Jaiyeoba, an Empowered Servant in Lagos, crossed paths with Mr. Rick — a father, husband, and pastor who had just experienced a devastating injustice.

Mr. Rick had recently been released from police detention after being wrongfully accused and held for an offense he did not commit. The experience left him emotionally drained and physically weakened. As a husband and spiritual leader, the weight of the situation was heavy — not just on him, but on his family and those who look up to him.

When Jaiyeoba met him, it was clear that he wasn’t just recovering from the injustice, but also struggling to regain stability. His appearance reflected the hardship he had endured: exhaustion, discouragement, and the burden of trying to restart life after an experience that had shaken everything.

Moved with compassion, Jaiyeoba listened to his story, offered words of encouragement, and reminded him that he was not alone. Beyond emotional support, he also provided ₦5,000 from the Empowered Servants purse to help him meet urgent needs and regain some footing.

Mr. Rick was deeply grateful — not just for the financial support, but for the kindness, dignity, and hope that came with it.

This moment reflects what ESGI stands for:
Seeing people in their darkest moments. Responding with compassion and action. Restoring dignity through practical support and encouragement

A Glimpse of Our Impact

This encounter may seem simple, but to someone rebuilding from trauma and injustice, it was a reminder that God sees, and He sends help through people. Empowered Servants exist to be that help — in real moments, with real love, and real solutions.

At Empowered Servants Global Initiative, we believe that compassion is powerful, and every act of support is a seed of hope planted in someone’s life. Mr. Rick’s story is a testimony that even after hardship, restoration begins with kindness.
